A model that's too small, with insufficient processing capacity, can become a production bottleneck; a model that's too large can lead to wasted investment and excessive operating costs. So, as an operator, how can we scientifically select the right model based on our daily production volume?
Key evaluation metrics are average daily processing volume and peak processing volume. You should calculate the average number of tons of waste paper your waste disposal facility or factory generates or recycles each day. For example, if you process 2-3 tons of waste paper daily, a small- to medium-sized baler with an hourly output of 0.5-1 ton will be sufficient. It can easily complete a full day's work in a few hours, leaving ample time for maintenance and rest. If your daily processing volume exceeds 10 tons, however, you should consider larger, more automated equipment to ensure production efficiency.
Directly related to processing volume are bin size and bale weight. Baler models are typically categorized by bin size and bale weight. Smaller models, such as the 63-ton model, produce bales weighing approximately 30-50 kilograms, while larger models, such as the 120-ton or even 200-ton models, can produce bales weighing hundreds of kilograms. You need to consider: What bale size best suits your on-site handling and stacking conditions? Will you use manual handling or a forklift? Furthermore, the size of the bin determines the amount of material you can load at a time and the compression cycle, impacting overall efficiency.
Furthermore, consider future business growth. When choosing a model, be proactive. If your business is experiencing rapid growth, it's wise to choose a model that's slightly larger than your current needs. This can avoid the need for further investment in equipment replacement due to insufficient production capacity in the near future, which would be a significant cost. You can consult with an experienced equipment supplier; they can often provide professional model recommendations and capacity calculations based on your specific situation. Remember, the best model is the one that meets your current and near-term production needs while maximizing your return on investment.
